With the 2015 French Open Tennis Championship set to begin tomorrow, adidas unveiled a special video featuring Y-3's Yohji Yamamoto speaking about the inspiration behind the Roland Garros Collection commemorating the event.
In a collision of sport and fashion, Yamamoto touches upon the different aspects that he took into consideration that helped bring this collection into fruition. Also featured in the video are adidas athletes, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Ana Ivanovic who are both expected to be wearing the Y-3 garments when they hit the clay courts of Roland Garros.
The featured sneaker of the collection is the adizero Y-3 All Court which features a floral print which we've seen utilized on other Y-3 silhouettes and makes use of an ADIWEAR outsole to help maximize traction and help the players better navigate the slippery clay court surfaces. The All-Court, which currently is only available in a 7.5 as of this writing, is available with the rest of the Roland Garros Collection on Y-3's site now.
