If you aren't yet sold on the whole "athleisure" movement, maybe this will convince you.According to the 29th semi-annual Taking Stock With Teens research survey by investment firm Piper Jaffray, Nike's footwear and apparel business is completely dominating the competition in the teenage demographic.

Amongst upper income teens, Nike sneakers are the preferred choice for the third year in a row with 46% of teens choosing the Swoosh for Spring 2015. Nike's closest opposition is Vans, who holds just a meager 9% of endorsements.

Meanwhile, the race on the apparel front is more closely contested, but Nike's still in control. Nike apparel is preferred by 19% of average income teens who are opting for sweats and synthetics over denim and dresses. Retailers like Forever 21 and American Apparel just can't seem to keep up, although it's noted that other athleisure brands like Lululemon are beginning to gain momentum.

The numbers don't lie—athleisure isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
