The Engineered Garments x Vans Slip-On is the perfect example of a sneaker that came out of nowhere, and resonated with just about everyone. The wabi-sabi sneakers feature a simple theme, leather kicks with certain panels reversed to reveal the rough-out side of the skin on contrasting parts of each shoe. It's a theme Engineered Garments designer Daiki Suzuki visits often, and looks particularly great on an otherwise simple set of of Slip-Ons.

Dropping Friday, February 13, at the Nepenthes New York store, this iteration features four returning colorways and one new one: Tan, White, Navy, Black, and Light Blue. Retail is set for $85, and less than 110 pairs of each shoe were made. A Japanese release is set for next month, but there will be no tan colorway offered. It's unconfirmed if the shoe will come back again in the future. But knowing Engineered Garments, if there's another collaboration in the works, it's probably going to be something completely unexpected.
