The Jack Purcell model is a key piece to the Converse catalog. The canvas sneaker goes all the way back to 1935, and has remained relevant through the decades as a mainstay in men's fashion. And while the Jack Purcell's longevity can be attributed to its classic design, Converse decided to give the silhouette a contemporary update.
The all-new Jack Purcell Signature features 18 different changes. The makeover provides the sneaker with more technical benefits, giving it an innovative and premium vibe. Some of the updates include a two-ply duck canvas upper for extra strength and durability, a no-slip heel counter, a streamlined toecap for a more modern aesthetic, and updated footbeds with Nike Zoom Air technology for extra comfort.
Despite the slew of changes, Converse maintains the overall look of the Jack Purcell that helped put the sneaker on the map.
Watch for the new Jack Purcell Signature sneakers to release on February 12 in neutral colorways of "Black," "Mason," and "White."
