It was a busy weekend for Carmelo Anthony. Not only did the superstar forward reportedly tell the Knicks he is opting out of the final year of his contract, but he also stopped by the World Streetball Championships in Paris alongside NBA legend (and former Chicago Bull....hmmm?) Scottie Pippen.

Sponsored by Nike and Jordan Brand, the Quai 54 tournament took place this past weekend under the scenic backdrop of the Eiffel Tower, with France's own The Hood Mix taking home the crown. Played since 2003, the Quai 54 pits 16 of the world's best streetball squads against each other.

"The atmosphere at the event was amazing - the streetball, the culture, the music - the tournament has evolved but the spirit is still the same" said Scottie Pippen.

In addition to the team competition, Poland's Rafal "Lipek" Lipinski came out on top in the dunk contest, which featured some top flight talent like Canada's Justin “Jus Fly” Darlington and USA's Porter “What’s Gravity” Mayberry.
