With the annual Wimbledon Championships set to begin today at the All England Club in London, tennis lovers will be affixed to their sets and devices watching first round action and seeing if its countryman, Andy Murray, can defend his title. Murray was the first Englishman to win the title since Fred Perry's three-year reign that spanned from 1934 to 1936.
For sneakerheads, it also marks the release of the Bodega x Fred Perry 1934. The British clothier and the Boston boutique have hooked up on one of the cleanest collaboration offerings of the summer. The shoe consists of a "Clay" colored nappy suede upper accented by hits of "Red" graphic branding hits and contrasted with a stark, black outsole and back heel collar. As part of the release, fans purchasing the shoe will also receive a tote bag, tennis balls, pin-set, and a silkscreen poster. If you live in the Boston area, you might already in line to scoop these. But if you aren't, these drop at 11 a.m. EST in the event you have plans of making your way over there. For the rest of us, these are currently available right now here. Retail for the entire package is set at $145.
