With the Olympics now over, the 2014 World Cup is right around the corner. Today, Nike unveiled the uniforms that South Korea will be wearing in Brazil this summer.
In order to be uniquely South Korean, the vibrant red jerseys feature a Taegeuk symbol-inspired design on the sleeves. In addition to the special sleeves, the jerseys feature a red collar featuring blue piping designed to resemble Korean attire. Inside the neck, the jersey features a Tuhon symbol that translates as "fighting spirit," which is the essential quality of South Korean soccer. In addition to its sleek appearance, the jerseys are equipped with the latest performance technology, including Nike Dri-FIT, "burnout" mesh and laser-cut ventilation holes.
The Nike Pro Combat Ultralight Slider Short is 20 percent lighter than previous versions. The weight was reduced by adding mesh to spots where athletes generate heat for increased breathability and comfort.
