The San Antonio Spurs once more enlisted the help of swingmen Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard to unveil the team’s new military-themed uniforms, which wil be worn during the November 13 home game against the Washington Wizards.

The Spurs created the camo uniforms to honor the servicemen and women of the Armed Forces, as well as to live up to their hometown label of “Military City U.S.A.” Given that there are an estimated 300,000 active and retired military and government personnel residing in the Alamo City, it’s a good call by team management.

“Playing in San Antonio, we’re constantly reminded of the selflessness and courage of those that serve,” said Spurs guard Danny Green. “We owe them a debt of gratitude and it is an honor to recognize and show support to all active and retired military members.”

The military uniforms are part of adidas’ NBA Pride Uniform Collection. They feature a green, olive and sand-colored camo print with the Spurs alternate logo on the front. San Antonio will wear the uniforms for a second time in February when it takes on Oklahoma City. The Spurs jerseys, as well as the rest of the NBA Pride Uniform Collection will be available for fan purchase starting November 13 at the NBA Store.
