With retro sneakers being the new wave, Nike has returned another classic basketball sneaker into the market. The Nike Air Zoom Flight ‘98 "the Glove" is set to return to retailers on October 5th with a price tag of $140.

The Nike Air Zoom Flight ’98 ‘the Glove’ was the signature shoe of Gary “the Glove” Payton. Gary was a no nonsense, abrasive, trash talker during his time in the NBA. Payton was known as "the Glove" because of his quick hands on defense, stealing the ball at will and let you know about your game afterwards like a high school bully.

The Nike Air Zoom Flight ’98 ‘the Glove’ introduced the innovative zipper shroud upper. The upper gave the wearer great fit and tremendous locked down with the help of shoe's mesh interior. The shoe also pioneered the Monkey Paw technology which provides optimal ankle support.

With Gary Payton entering the Hall of Fame, it’s good to see an icon like the Nike Air Zoom Flight ‘98 "the Glove" hit retailers after a hiatus. Tell us what you think of ‘the Glove’ and keep it locked at Sneaker Report.
