There’s only one way to make an already-great running sneaker even better—weatherproof it with GORE-TEX.

That’s exactly what running giant Asics has done with its popular GT-2000 model. The latest edition of the shoe, the GT-2000 G-TX, has been given the GORE-TEX treatment for superior performance, rain or shine. While the waterproof upper keeps moisture out, it still enables the shoe to allow proper ventilation to flow through. Like it’s summer-friend counterpart, the G-TX is designed to cater to mild to overpronators. Thanks to the Asics Impact Guidance System, the sneaker promotes an improved natural stride for optimal performance and a smooth ride all the way through. A combination of DuraSponge and Solyte cushioning technologies give the shoe a comfortable and flexible fit.

The GT-2000 G-TX will be available in February 2013 for $130.
