You can finally start getting excited for Fear the Walking Dead andThe Walking Deadagain.

As for Fear the Walking Dead, the second half of the show’s third season is set to premiere September 10 on AMC. The trailer was just released Friday at the San Diego Comic-Con, and it's the first tease of what the rest of the season will look and feel like. It promises to maintain the show’s raw and gritty atmosphere, all while amping up the action and suspense as the season barrels toward its conclusion.

"It's going to get darker and deeper," showrunner Dave Erickson told Entertainment Weekly. "I think there's now a big secret. They've committed a murder, and there's going to be a conspiracy that surrounds that. And I think one of the big questions of the back half is how are Nick, and ultimately, Alicia and Madison, going to be able to process what they've done. And then, what happens when the sons learn how the father really died."

But that's not all that happened at Comic-Con today for fans of the bloody zombie universe. Fear the Walking Dead is the prequel to The Walking Dead. Fans of both series were gifted twice over Friday as the trailer for The Walking Dead season 8 made its debut at Comic-Con. The Walking Dead is set to return on October 22; the last season ended in April.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Negan on the show, seemed to know the impact the trailer would have on the audience. "I hope you got your shitting pants on," he warned before the clip played.
