Every actor has an audition story that's either horrifying, demoralizing, or humiliating. More often than anyone would want to admit, it can be all three.

Following the screening of the upcoming Netflix series GLOW at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas on Sunday, Alison Brie and co-star Betty Gilpin discussed the casting process of this show in comparison to their audition experiences in the past. Brie recalled auditioning for a brief spot on an episode of Entourage. Her ordeal turned out to be the trifecta of bad. "Early in my career, I auditioned for three lines on an episode of Entourage that I had to go on in a bikini!” she said, per EW. "Or like shorts and the tiniest shorts. And they were like, ‘Okay, can you take your top off now?'"

Brie has since offered up a clarification regarding her Entourage audition, stating that they "didn't ask me to get totally topless."

While this latest information makes her audition a little less alarming, it doesn't change the fact that the actress had to go in a bikini and "the tiniest shorts" just to hopefully land a three-line part in one episode. “I’ve gone through auditions for Marvel movies and auditioned a million times for roles with three lines and you are begging for them,” Brie said. “And I’d be glad to get them! It’s brutal, it just is.”
