Vanessa Bayer Is Leaving 'SNL' After 7 Seasons

Just days after Bobby Moynihan's departure from 'SNL' was announced, Vanessa Bayer confirmed she would also be exiting the series.

Just two days after longtime cast member Bobby Moynihan's departure from Saturday Night Live was announced, Deadlineconfirmed that Vanessa Bayer would also be exiting the series after the season 42 finale. In a farewell message on Instagram Saturday, Bayer thanked the SNL team for seven years of "laughs, love, and incredible memories." Bayer was the current longest-serving woman cast member on the series.

Bayer was nominated for an American Comedy Award for her work on SNL in 2014, the same year she released an episode of Above Average's "Sound Advice" featuring none other than Drake:

Moynihan is ending his SNL run after nine seasons. Moynihan, CNNreported Thursday, will next star in a CBS series entitled Me, Myself, & I this fall. In an Instagram post Friday, current SNL cast member Pete Davidson said Moynihan's departure broke his heart:

SNL's season 42 finale also marks Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's induction into the Five-Timers Club. Johnson is joined by musical guest Katy Perry, who recently had lyrical analysts working overtime thanks to her Nicki Minaj collab "Swish Swish."
