SNL leads this episode with a spoof of MSNBC’s Morning Joe.
The big news this week was co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski’s romance, which was hidden from journalists for quite some time until they announced their engagement. The cold open starts with Scarborough and Brzezinski taking a call from a media spokesman named John Miller, who clearly sounded like President Donald Trump. After he goofs the pronunciation of Cinco De Mayo and the process of how a bill becomes a law, the pair complain about Trump's competence once he hangs up. Then, they do an awkward public display of affection that involves some naughty name calling and Mika biting Joe’s nose.
