The Simpsons will put its own spin on the classic Great Gatsby story next year with a star-stacked special episode featuring Snoop Dogg, RZA, and Common. By "star-stacked," I do not mean that Leonardo DiCaprio will be joining them. The episode is entitled The Great Phatsby and is slated to debut in January, Entertainment Weeklyreported Wednesday.

"We wanted the Mt. Rushmore of rap, and we got it," Dan Greaney, a Simpsons producer and writer of the special hour-long episode, said Wednesday. "They represent different moods and different aspects of the history of hip-hop." The trio will be joined by Empire music producer Jim Beanz, who is contributing original songs to the production centered on the ideas of betrayal and revenge.

The episode will see Mr. Burns' testing his "doomed" relationship with a "mysterious hip-hop mogul" by the name of Jay G. Key & Peele alum Keegan-Michael Key and Empire's Taraji P. Henson will also star. According to Simpsons executive producer Matt Selman, there's also one more major star worth mentioning: a "hilarious" goose. "The goose is really funny," Selman confirmed to EW.

With its renewal for seasons 29 and 30, The Simpsons was officially granted the opportunity to crush a longstanding Gunsmoke record. The episodic record will be formally smashed during the sixteenth episode of the Fox hit's next season. "This is yet another record-setting moment for what is truly a landmark series," Fox CEOs Dana Walden and Gary Newman toldDeadline of the milestone last month.
