So, um, what the fuck is going on with Girl Meets World? Disney's Boy Meets World sequel series is done for good, at least according to star Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter). The writers behind the series, however, are out here telling a different story:
The confusion kicked off with Strong's recent comments on his Literary Disco podcast. "We finished the third season of Girl Meets World," Strong said, as spotted byEntertainment Weekly. "My brother and I were directing a lot of episodes and I acted in a couple. And the show ended." Disney did not comment on Strong's remarks, but the writers room is now suggesting Strong may simply be jumping to conclusions:
Girl Meets World debuted back in 2014, a year I'm sure we can all agree was exponentially better than the one we're currently stuck in. The series stars Rowan Blanchard, Ben Savage, Sabrina Carpenter, Peyton Meyer, and Strong. A trio of new (final?) episodes, as announced earlier this month, will air next month. "World Meets Girl" premieres Jan. 6 and is a whopping 60 minutes in length:
If Girl Meets World is your bag, send some prayers up to Disney Christ.
