TV dad Alan Thicke passed away Tuesday after reportedly suffering a heart attack while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter. He was 69 years old.

According to TMZ, an ambulance transported Thicke to Burbank’s Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center at around 11:30 a.m. PST. About 30 minutes later, he was declared dead—leaving behind his wife Tanya and three sons: Carter, Brennan, and recording artist Robin Thicke.

Shortly after his death was confirmed, friends and colleagues expressed their condolences to Thicke’s family. You can read some of the messages—including those from Russell Simmons, Demi Lovato, and his former daughter-in-law Paula Patton—below.
