Steven Seagal, star of movies you totally forgot existed like Under Siege and Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, is now an official Russian citizen. President Vladimir Putin granted Seagal citizenship by way of decree Thursday, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The decree is immediate and automatic, meaning Seagal doesn't have to do a damn thing to seal the deal.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told local news outlets Seagal had made multiple requests regarding citizenship in the past, noting such requests were made fairly often. "He has made requests about citizenship for a long time and quite persistently," Peskov said. Seagal last visited Russia two months ago, hitting up the Kamchatka and Sakhalin regions.

Previous celebs to have been granted Russian citizenship, according to the Moscow Times, include professional boxer Roy Jones Jr. and actor Gerard Depardieu. Noted poet Fred Durst has also expressed his desire to get the Russian seal of approval. Last September, Durst was quoted by Russian media as saying he too wanted to become a citizen. "I wouldn't mind getting a Russian passport," Durst reportedly said. "If you have communication with the relevant authorities, which could assist with obtaining it, share!"
