Soulja Boy announced his departure from Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood Monday, noting the show has simply become "too ratchet" for his growing brand. In addition to quitting VH1's Hollywood-based Love & Hip Hop spin-off, Soulja Boy is also working on bringing his own show to TV soon:

Just so we're absolutely clear he’s not feeling the Love & Hip Hop vibes anymore, Soulja Boy then retweeted a bunch of less-than-flattering opinions on the VH1 hit, now in its third season:

Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood debuted in 2014 with Soulja Boy, Ray J, Omarion, Hazel-E, Moniece Slaughter, Lil Fizz, and Teairra Marí. The series documented Soulja's on-again, off-again relationship with Nia Riley. Earlier this season, Soulja's stake in the series was noticeably reduced to guest appearances after some high-profile Nia drama.

Though not much is known about the new show Soulja Boy teased on Twitter Monday, perhaps (i.e. this is very unlikely) the show will just be an episodic deep-dive into Soulja's fondness for Pokémon Go. "Any time I say something about Pokémon, they love it," Soulja Boy told Complex in September. "Every time I'm on Twitter and I post something, my fans go crazy." According to Soulja Boy, the augmented reality game is everything. "It's all the music, it's part of the swag, it's the culture," he said. "If you ain't down with Pokémon, you tripping."
