Lindsay Lohan was just a few days late on totally nailing this 'Mean Girls' mini-reunion.

The third of October has already passed, but we'll forgive a mere technicality when it comes to more Mean Girls reunion action. Lindsay Lohan shared a frustratingly blurry screengrab Thursday of a presumably delightful FaceTime chat with Jonathan Bennett, a.k.a. Regina's ex Aaron Samuels:

The only problem here, of course, is that Thursday was not Oct. 3.

Bennett toldEntertainment Weekly earlier this year he intended to spend his Mean Girls Day doing something that actually sounds kinda dope: ignoring everyone on the planet. "I pretty much just stay away from social media and keep my phone off because it blows up," Bennett explained ahead of this summer's Hollywood Forever Cemetery screening of the 2004 classic. "It's ridiculous the amount of people and friends texting me, like a second birthday. It's so fun, though, to watch what people come up with."

Lohan, who is said to be plotting a major Hollywood comeback as we speak, had another mini Mean Girls reunion this summer. During a live video chat with Rajiv Surendra, a.k.a. math enthusiast and bad-ass MC Kevin Gnapoor, Lohan casually revealed that another collection of music was in her distant future.

As for another Mean Girls (i.e. NOT A GODDAMN REBOOT), that's probably not going to happen anytime soon. If you're really starving for more, you can always peep the terrible 2011 straight-to-video sequel Mean Girls 2. My advice? Just pretend that movie never happened and wait for the next mini-reunion.
