One of the most drawn-out celebrity breakups of our lifetime is finally coming to an end. According to TMZ, Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom have finally come to terms on a divorce settlement. The 32-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star first filed for divorce from 36-year-old Odom way back in 2013 after four years of marriage. Since then, the former NBA all star has been in a very public battle with addiction, which culminated in 2015 when he almost died after overdosing in a Nevada brothel.
For a moment, it appeared as though the incident had brought Odom and Kardashian closer together, and that the two were on the path to reconciliation after Kadashian withdrew the divorce papers to become his legal caretaker. Odom became a part of the Kardashian clan again—even joining them at Kanye West’s blowout Yeezy event at Madison Square Garden.
“I kinda want him to be a little more afraid," Kardashian said of Lamar at the time. "Bad things can happen if you go back to that life. This is, like, a second chance." And while Odom expressed his desire to rekindle his relationship with Kardashian on an episode of KUWTK, Khloé was less optimistic. "[Our marriage has] been a little tainted," Kardashian said. "We need to cut our ties, and we can figure it back out."
But alas, it wasn’t meant to be. Multiple reports of Odom’s erratic behavior surfaced, including an incident that saw him removed from an airplane after he drank too much and vomited on board.
Khloé eventually re-filed for divorce in May, after it became clear that Odom was unwilling to make a serious change in lifestyle. Kardashian has since found love with another hoopster in Tristan Thompson, who she reportedly became engaged to just two months after they began dating. The rumors were since debunked, but it's clear that the youngest Kardashian sister is finally ready to move on.
