Oh shit. Idris Elba and Madonna are a thing now? Fuck no. But that didn't stop a surprising amount of people from believing Elba and Madonna had consciously coupled following some published rumors and a 'gram from the Queen of Pop featuring some behind-the-scenes action from the forthcoming docuseries Idris Elba: Fighter.
Early Monday, Elba hit us with a tweet clarifying whisperings of coupledom. "Am I sleeping with Madonna?" Elba asked before immediately answering. "No motherfuckers… 'Don't believe the Hype' [sic]."
The Sun reported Sunday that Elba and Madonna "could not keep their hands off each other" after the kickboxing spectacular.
"They arrived together at around 3am and were all over each other," a source told the Sun, claiming to have seen the two at a London restaurant party over the weekend. "There was nothing subtle about it, no attempt to hide. It was very blatant. They were at the party for about an hour, they would dance, go off to smooch, then mingle a bit more. They only had eyes for each other. That seemed very, very clear."
As for things that are actually happening, Elba was recently confirmed by Entertainment Weekly as being super down for a The Dark Tower spin-off series. The film adaptation of Stephen King's book series is due next year and stars Elba alongside Matthew McConaughey, with a currently distributor-less spin-off series set to debut at some point in 2018.
