Who knew a such an over-hyped movie would get so much flack?

So many people have opinions about DC Comics and Warner Bros. latest superhero film Suicide Squad. It's universally hated by critics and elite film buffs, but is defended to the death by (mostly likely over-obsessed) DC fans. One of the underlying criticisms of the film, other than the plot, was Jared Leto’s performance as The Joker... or rather, lack thereof. One cinema goer was so disappointed with the Crown Prince of Crime’s screen time that he has threatened legal action against DC Comics and Warner Bros for "unjust false advertising".

Disgruntled Reddit user BlackPanther2016 is demanding a refund after driving 300 miles to London only to feel duped after watching "specific scenes explicitly advertised in TV ads". As a result him and his "lawyer" brother will be filing a lawsuit come August 11.

In his Reddit post/rant he states that:

"Movie Trailers are like food menus, they give you a preview of what your gonna get. If you look at a McDonald's menu and you choose to get your favourite burger, presented/showcased in a nice picture with pickles, chicken, mild cheese(you're favourite, in-fact...that's the only reason you're getting this burger...because you love mild cheese)...

Jared Leto, who in the run up spent months telling us over and over again about how he prepared for the iconic villain role, revealed that many of the scenes he filmed were cut from the final edit. This probably explains his 15 minute screen time.

However despite the onslaught of criticism Suicide Squad have been breaking box office records and raking in the cash. So cheer up DC fanboys it isn’t all doom and gloom.
