Pause your Game of Thrones mania and peep this. HBO's forthcoming series Westworld, which rocked us all into excitement with that whole "genital-to-genital touching" misunderstanding last year, now has a proper trailer that makes good on its creepy promises. The trailer gives prospective viewers a closer look at Sir Anthony Hopkins and company as they navigate the obvious terrors of a futuristic amusement park gone awry, meaning there's plenty of room here for HBO to stretch its anti-censorship muscles.

J.J. Abrams is doing executive production duty on Westworld, based on the 1973 sci-fi western written and directed by Jurassic Park creator Michael Crichton. That film quickly garnered critical acclaim, with many praising its groundbreaking use of digital image processing to achieve the pixelated POV of an android:

HBO's take on Westworld, which also stars Evan Rachel Wood (True Blood) and Ed Harris (The Truman Show), did some unintentional promo work last September when a casting call from Central Casting let loose some titillating details about the production. As Deadlinereported, the casting call mentioned the requirement of appearing "fully nude" and the possibility of performing "genital-to-genital" and "hand-to-genital" touching for an apparent orgy sequence. HBO later released a statement to Variety placing the burden of controversy on Central Casting, saying the document was not "requested, written, or approved" by the network. But still.

A "massive orgy scene," as noted by the Hollywood Reporter, was teased during Sunday's Game of Thrones but has been mysteriously trimmed from the new trailer. But don't sweat it. We'll all get to see the full monty when Westworld premieres on HBO in October.
