The ever-growing amount of content on Netflix can seem daunting, perhaps even overwhelming. With so much coming and going this month it can be hard to keep track of what you should watch and what you need to leave in watch-list purgatory. Luckily we're on-hand to guide you on what you need this month on Netflix.

Scroll down to our list below of the best new stuff coming to Netflix UK this July.

Bojack Horseman (season three)

When Bojack Horseman was first revealed, it looked like just another lame ‘adult’ animation, with swearing substituting for depth. But viewers quickly realised it was something far more — an incredibly smart, deep, often very bleak examination of depression and alienation, only with Will Arnett voicing a talking horse. Season three sees 90s sitcom actor Bojack actually become genuine movie star, and we really want to see things turn out well for him. As well as also wanting to see more Vincent Adultman and ‘Hollywoo Stars and Celebrities: What Do They Know? Do They Know Things?? Let's Find Out!’.

Streaming from July 22.

Netflix’s most high-profile original movie this month comes from Orange Is The New Black writer Sian Heder, and stars Ellen Page as the titular character, a young poor girl on the streets who "rescues" a baby from a negligent mother. It looks like the sort of indie drama that would be getting good reviews on the festival circuit, but instead of having to wait for it to turn up at your local Picturehouse, you can stream it straight away.

Streaming from July 29.

Stranger Things (season one)

And the original Netflix dramas just keep coming. Stranger Things is a 1980s set mystery about a young boy who disappears into thin air. We don’t know much else about it — and from the sound of it that’s maybe the point — though the synopsis says to expect “top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl”. It does however boast a reasonably big-name cast including Winona Ryder and Mathew Modine. Will this be the next Netflix smash, or will it go relatively unnoticed like Hemlock Grove or Marco Polo?

Streaming from July 15.

Brahman Naman

Brahman Naman looks like any other teen sex comedy — apart from one thing: it’s set in 1980s India. That’s enough to set it apart from the American Pies and Inbetweeners of the world, plus it got good reviews when it played at the Sundance Film Festival, so this could be a future cult hit.

Streaming from July 7.

Daft Punk Unchained
