Chrissy Teigen is no stranger to arguments about guns on Twitter. She even (temporarily) quit the service after the nasty reaction to a 2014 tweet about mass shootings. But on Monday night, she had arguably the cutest gun control debate of all time with her husband, singer John Legend. Teigen played the against-type part of a rabid gun rights advocate in reacting to a Legend tweet about punishing Republicans for their recent inaction on gun control after Omar Mateen shot and killed 49 people at Orlando's Pulse nightclub.

We have to vote the GOP out of leadership of both House & Senate to get anything done on guns. Please vote in November.

They went back and forth before revealing, to the surprise of absolutely nobody, that they were actually sitting right next to each other during the entire "argument."

Twitter loved the whole routine, with some folks even getting in on the act.

Others just shared their admiration for the couple's antics.

and although it's the most important issue right now, you two are still cute as hell!!

This is not the first time Teigen and Legend have teamed up on Twitter. Earlier this month, they tag-teamed Piers Morgan after Morgan used the aftermath of Muhammad Ali's death to talk about the boxing legend's "appallingly racist" and "inflammatory" comments.
