The hype surrounding Captain America: Civil War has been steadily increasing as its debut draws closer, leaving all of us on the edges of our seats. That exclusive clip Chris Evans dropped at the MTV Movie Awards showed Captain America kicking serious butt, while the return of fictional reporter Christine Everhart for a WHIH news special urged us to choose sides before seeing the superhero factions battle it out. An exclusive new clip has been released that shows one of the more enigmatic heroes in action, the Black Panther, or T'Challa from the Marvel African nation of Wakanda.

Captain America: Civil War marks the Black Panther's debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which has left fans craving more details about how he'll fit in. We know that the Black Panther (Chadwich Boseman) and Iron Man share the goal of defeating Captain America's best friend Bucky Barnes, but beyond that, his role remains somewhat of a question mark.

The new clip shared on io9 showcases what appears to be the climax in the chase scene involving Captain America, Bucky Barnes, and the Black Panther. The Black Panther is seen totally wrecking Bucky before Captain America sees what's happening from afar and attempts to intervene. T'Challa's combat abilities are predictably on point in the video, but the most menacing aspect of his characters are those sharp claws, which come inches from Bucky's face before the clip ends.

Some lingering questions about the Black Panther's involvement in Civil War have been vaguely answered by short clips, but we'll have to wait until the movie comes out next Friday on May 6 to get the real scoop.
