But whereas something like Amy can come out in cinemas and be a massive hit, Michael Jackson’s Journey From Motown to Off the Wall hasn’t got a major release or anything in the UK. Instead, it just debuted on BBC2 a few days ago, relatively unheralded. But that means that it’s on the iPlayer, for you to watch for free (as long as you are in the UK), for the next month. So go watch it.

As the title suggests, the film follows MJ’s move from Motwon and the Jackson 5 to the recording of his first major solo record as an adult, and shines a light on a part of his career that doesn’t get as much attention as Thriller and Bad.
