The Walking Dead is back at it again with the teased heartbreaks, this time putting (SPOILER ALERT) our guy Daryl Dixon in a seemingly not great situation ahead of Negan's big arrival in the season finale. With dedicated Dead heads now threatening to quit watching the show altogether should Sunday's Dwight-delivered Daryl injury prove fatal, Norman Reedusspoke withDeadline to clear the air using the series' traditional interview vibes of vagueness and non-answers.

"I will say the the Season 6 finale is the most hardcore finale we’ve ever done," Reedus tells Deadline, politely declining to reveal whether or not Daryl lives to see Season 7. "I mean I saw a rough rough rough cut of it way back when and I was speechless for at least an hour." However, Reedus did get surprisingly specific about the seemingly blood-drenched scene from Sunday's episode: "I can say what you see tonight is exactly what happens. That’s definitely blood up against the camera and I’m definitely the one that gets shot."

As previously reported, Negan's forthcoming arrival most certainly spells doom for someone. "We’re going to push AMC," Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the man tasked with bringing Negan's many vulgarities to life, told Entertainment Weeklylast December. "The plan is to push them as far as they can because it’s who Negan is. He uses some colorful language." Though Daryl may not end up on the receiving end of Negan's bat Lucille, Reedus is quick to urge the audience to brace themselves for the shape of Dead to come. "Hold on for the rest of this," Reedus says, "because it gets real crazy."

Please don't enrage us with another Glenn-esque fakeout, AMC.
