When he’s not debunking rappers' conspiracy theories or explaining how sex would work in space, famed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson is known for tackling very important pop culture debates. His latest assessment is regarding the new DC Comics superhero civil war movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. The question? Between Batman and Superman, who is the better superhero?

The Cosmos: A Spacetime Odysseyhost took to Twitter to voice his endorsement of Superman, not that anyone would have guessed otherwise. With that signature sense of rationality at his side, he reasoned that "[Superman]’s a space alien from an exoplanet." He further justified his choice by saying "In astrophysics, that’s how we roll."

He expanded on this by explaining he had an issue with Batman’s lack of multitudes, tweeting "If Batman wants so badly to be a bat, he might be more intriguing if (like Marvel’s Daredevil) he were also blind, like a bat."

You could argue that he’s being a little biased with the whole space thing, but when pitting a disillusioned billionaire human like Batman against Superman—an actual space alien who’s virtually indestructible—it’s pretty obvious who’s more badass by default. That being said, you’ve got to give props to Batman for building a sweet lair and ride without the help of Xzibit.

Tyson left his argument open-ended with an interesting topical question: "In @BatmanvSuperman, the question remains, would the @realDonaldTrump deport Superman for being an illegal alien in the USA?" Well, if Trump deports Superman, he might become a Canadian superhero instead.
