It's coloured to look like a Pokeball.

Pokémon turns 20 years old this year, and Nintendo are celebrating with everything from special 3DS consoles to HD re-releases of the anime movies. But this might be the coolest tie-in.

The soundtrack to the OG Pokémon Red and Blue is getting a deluxe vinyl release, courtesy of Moonshake. The music by composer Junichi Masuda will be released on a coloured vinyl designed to look like Pokéball, and in a sleeve with the original 150 Pokémon recreating the cover of The Beatle’s Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. It’ll cost $50, and is limited to 500 pieces. You can sign up to get a notification when it goes on sale, while you try to justify spending 50 dollars on a vinyl version of an 8-bit score.
