Let's hold a vote here for second, who remembers the last 'decent' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game? It's okay, we'll wait for the the tumbleweed to roll by.

It's been a long time (word to Rakim) we know but it looks like we're finally getting the TMNT game that we finally deserve, amazing right? As originally reported back in December, developers Platinum Games were working on a new TMNT game and today they've given us a look at what we're in store for. We can confirm it looks so freaking good.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan looks like a return to the 'heroes in a half-shell's' comic book roots, the developers have used a gorgeous cell-shaded style that mixes perfectly with the fast-paced co-op gameplay. Judging from the video footage it looks like the four brothers will be taking they're ninjstu skills against familiar foes like Rocksteady and Bebop, the Foot Clan and Shredder.

We don't know what it is: call it childhood nostalgia, call it brilliant marketing hype from the game's publishers, Activision, but we're so freaking stoked for this one. Not even Michael Bay can ruin it for us.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants  is expected to be released in the summer for both retail and digital and will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC as well as the last gen-consoles.
