GoldenEye – and to that extent Prefect Dark – on the Nintendo 64 remains one of the best games ever, period. It’s not even up for debate. There have been countless attempts since it’s release back in 1997 to remake it but it’s never quite captured the same feeling as Rare’s classic. That being said one person seems to have got it right and his name is Jude Wilson.

Whilst not a fully running game, Wilson – a student at Sheffield Hallam University – has remade the iconic opening Facility level to a painstakingly detail effect. Pretty much starting from scratch he combined the original N64 layout with the Unreal Engine 4, in the video description writes that he: “tried to get it as realistic as possible, using the films interiors, props and lighting but, remaining true to the original game at the same time”.

This project is currently part of an assignment for his course at university, if this doesn’t ear him a 'first’ we’ll be outraged on his behalf. Keep up the good work Jude.
