'Avengers: Infinity War' Will Reportedly Keep Things Simple by Featuring Just 67 Different Characters

Is this a math problem?

In an apparent effort to become a four-hour math problem set to film, the forthcomingAvengers: Infinity War two-parter will reportedly feature at least 67 different characters. The mathematical revelation comes straight from the mouths of co-directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who teased the film's progress to Comic Book Movie during a recent Wizard World New Orleans event.

"We have so many characters we're dealing with," Joe said after his brother Anthony used the wrong name when discussing another Marvel Cinematic Universe inhabitant. "We're breaking ground on Avengers: Infinity War. We have a board with 67 characters on it.  You have to forgive him."

Given the hype surrounding Marvel's ever-expanding roster of sustainable blockbusters, perhaps 67 characters is far too conservative a number. Maybe try 100 different characters? 500? 1000?

The first half of Infinity War lands in May of 2018, with the conclusion sliding into theaters just one year later. Prepare to do some math.
