If you were considering Googling "duct tape challenge," hopefully this story will offer all the inspiration you need to just not. Washington teen Skylar Fish, just 14, tells KIRO 7 he feels "lucky to be alive" after being seriously injured while trying the viral challenge. "When I think about it, it seems like I was hit by a car."

Skylar, who has been recovering at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for more than a week, got two of his friends to duct tape his legs and arms together while he was standing. "When he fell, he hit the corner of the window frame," Sarah Fish, Skylar's mother, tells reporters. "It crushed his whole eye socket and pinched off nerves in his eye." The teen also ended up with 48 staples in his head and a brain aneurysm, with the chances of regaining sight in his injured eye remaining relatively slim.

"I want people to stop and think that there are so many risks to any of these challenges," Sarah adds. "They're dangerous." Sarah's son will soon be moved to Seattle Children's Hospital to finish his recovery process. No charges are expected to be pressed against the other teens involved in Skylar's injuries.

Thinking of trying the duct tape challenge? Don't.
