Former DA prosecutor Ken Kratz has a huge target on his back thanks to the Netflix documentary Making a Murderer, which centers on the twice-convicted Steven Avery. Viewers weren’t thrilled with Kratz’s handling of the case and took to his Yelp page to leave some biting reviews, BuzzFeedreports.
In 2003, Avery was released after spending 18 years in prison for a wrongful sexual assault conviction that was overturned thanks to new DNA exonerating him from the crime. Two years later, he was charged and then convicted of murdering photographer Teresa Halbach, and subsequently sentenced to live in prison.
Filmmakers behind the series raised significant questions about the poor handling of the case and Avery’s defense team even suggested law enforcement planted evidence in order to secure a conviction. Kratz resigned from his post in 2010 after he reportedly sent sexually explicit text messages to a domestic violence victim.
