Two Ferraris were stolen from a mechanic in Melbourne's south-east overnight, including one valued at approximately 2.5 million dollars.

Thieves came up on not only a 1986 Ferrari 328, but also a 1972 Daytona, which was previously owned by both Pink Floyd lead singer Roger Waters, and British multi-millionaire Dodi Fayed. It currently belongs to Melbourne man Enzo Ceravolo, who appears to be taking the theft quite well.

“Phil Hughes is a great mechanic and a great guy — he’s been working hard with the police.” Said Mr Ceravolo.

Police believe the two Italian stallions were stolen from Hughes Supercars Services at approximately 3.40am on Friday morning. The theft seems to have been the work of professionals, as it took only four minutes. One of the two Ferraris was later seen in the nearby suburb of Patterson Lakes, but had already sped off by the time police arrived.
