As previously reported, urine consumption enthusiast Bear Grylls just landed quite the coup for his NBC series Running Wild with Bear Grylls. President Barack Obama will appear on a special episode of the hit series later this year, becoming what NBC so humbly described as "the first U.S. president to receive a crash course in survival techniques from Bear Grylls."

Taping for the surefire ratings booster appears to have neared completion, as both Obama and Grylls shared a pair of decidedly bear-free selfies on their respective social media accounts:

Sadly, Obama appears to have caught his thumb in the first photo, which is actually a pretty endearing Dad Move. Obama also shared a few Gryllsless photos from his three-day Alaskan journey, highlighting the very real problem facing the planet in the wake of continued climate change:
