BlackBerry and Android Had Obviously Awkward Sex and Birthed the Weirdest, Ugliest Phone You've Ever Seen

Surprising no one, the BlackBerry's upcoming Android phone is a steaming pile of dung.

On the long list of things people no longer care about, somewhere between David Spade and Toshiba's HD DVD (or, hey, Toshiba in general), rests two seemingly disparate but obviously attracted relics of the phone industry: Android and BlackBerry. Sure, both household names, particularly Android, have their devoted followers. However, when was the last time anyone* considered either of them a substantial threat in the battle of relevance most publicly fought against Apple?

The disturbing image above, depicting the hilariously tall result of a BlackBerry / Android collaboration, is perhaps all the proof anyone should need as to the future of BlackBerry's viability. The company's struggles have been well-documented, leading many to somehow prematurely write the former kings off as a permanent Apple casualty. However, BlackBerry is clearly (perhaps misguidedly) not fond of simply walking away from the phone war.

To alleviate the frustrations of anyone not in possession of extremely deep pockets, BlackBerry has equipped this monstrosity with an undeniably nostalgic piece of tech-fails gone-by: slider. Yes, the sliders of late 00s-era Fall Out Boy videos have made their unceremonious return with this BlackBerry Android bastardization:
