A man suing In-N-Out Burger claims he found two meth capsules at the bottom of his milkshake. A lawsuit filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court states that Fred Maldonado bought a burger and a milkshake from the In-N-Out Burger on Firestone Boulevard in LA. He took the food back to his motel room, chowed down, and fell asleep. The next morning, Maldonado allegedly found two mysterious capsules and a napkin in his empty shake cup.
According to the lawsuit, "Plaintiff did not initially know what the two capsules were, but later testing revealed that they were methamphetamine and that it appeared that they may have been illicitly manufactured." Moldando reportedly suffered "nausea and severe mental distress," from consuming the shake, which sounds about right for meth. He complained to the manager the next day, who apologized and gave him a free burger.
In light of the impending lawsuit, In-N-Out Burger's executive vice president Arnie Wensinger released a statement that simply said:
"At In-N-Out Burger, we have always served the freshest, highest quality burgers, fries, and drinks and customer safety is one of our highest priorities."
So that clears things up.
