A federal agent has been shot in Lower Manhattan, police confirmed to reporters on Friday. The suspect was also reportedly shot and is now in custody, according to Fox 5. Though the severity of the injuries are currently unknown, it has been confirmed that both were shot, with the federal agent being transported to Lenox Hill Hospital for treatment:

The shooting occurred near or inside a federal building shortly after 5 p.m., according to New York Daily News
