Acclaimed director Woody Allen, 79, rarely gives interviews, and that's a good thing,  because his latest one is making us want to yak, hurl, and barf (yeah, all three).

Speaking to NPR this week, Allen explained why he thinks his relationship to his 44-year-old wife Soon-Yi Previn works so well. First though, a little background, in case you're not familiar with Allen's history with said wife.

They first met when Allen was dating Previn's adopted mother, Mia Farrow. Farrow and Allen broke up when Farrow allegedly found Allen's stash of naked photos of Previn in 1992. When Allen and Previn started their relationship (publicly, at least) Previn was 21, but Allen had been dating Farrow for 10 years. So basically,  he married a girl he'd been a parental figure to since she was 11.

Allen kept it creepy this week by saying that's why their marriage worked:

“I’m 35 years older, and somehow, through no fault of mine or hers, the dynamic worked,” the 79-year-old director told NPR in an interview published Wednesday. “I was paternal. She responded to someone who was paternal.”

He also said he didn't mean to marry her.

“I started the relationship with her and I thought it would just be a fling. It wouldn’t be serious, but it had a life of its own. And I never thought it would be anything more. Then we started going together, then we started living together, and we were enjoying it."

So yeah, he only meant to get it in and then move on from banging his girlfriend's daughter, that's all.

Dude should probably just stay quiet and continue making his sometimes really good, sometimes terrible movies that nobody sees.
