Original Story: Six thousand people gathered in Hall H at Comic-Con tonight to hear the cast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens discuss the upcoming movie. J. J. Abrams, Kathleen KennedyJohn Boyega, Adam Driver, and Harrison Ford (Harrison Ford!) answered questions and talked about the movie for over an hour, but the most exciting part of the panel was the reveal of new behind-the-scenes footage, which you can watch above.

Besides being totally emotional to watch, the footage also revealed that Simon Pegg will be in The Force Awakens, but playing a minor creature. (Hey, it's something.) No new trailer or teaser was shown at the panel, but Abrams said we'd get a trailer in the fall.

He also announced that they are currently in the editing stage and have a cut of the film. "We’re in this extraordinary movement where we’re fine tuning," Abrams said. "We’re working hard to make the movie more of what it wants to be."

Among other things, we officially learned that Driver's character, Kylo Ren, is a villain, and there's a new villain named General Hux, who is played by Domnhall Gleason.

"I'm evil. I mean, I'm British. So, yeah," said Gleason.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens premieres in theaters on December 18, 2015. Harrison Ford, for one, is very excited about it.

"It should have felt ridiculous!" Harrison Ford says of returning to Star Wars. But "I will tell you that it felt great."
