Though its generally inviting appearance and undeniably adorable logo both imply good times to be had, Snapchat's actual ingredients are virtually synonymous with those of bath salts — which, as you know, is often associated with one-off face-eating incidents. Actually, sorry; I'm referring to the briefly popular Australian drug that conveniently shares a name and logo with Snapchat, the completely death-free app currently boasting nearly 200 million users.
Thankfully, one of the biggest complaints of those 200 million users is finally being heeded by Snapchat — the modification of the grueling press-and-hold viewing process which frequently evaporated the enjoyment of Snaps and Stories. On Wednesday, Snapchat started rolling out an update which replaces the press-and-hold feature with the new (and much more user-friendly) Tap to View — which is pretty much exactly what you think it is. Additionally, Snapchat announced Add Nearby, which allows for increased ease of location-based friend-finding.
On a definitely not related note, Complex is on Snapchat (ComplexMag) — and we never get (too) strange.
