Wait, hold up, did I read that right? The CW (fondly dubbed "the most lit network" in the Complex office) is making a "hyper-stylized, gritty" reboot of Little Women?! WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? I'm thinking like a Tarantino style, Sin City-esque thing, and I am all sorts of excited and confused. But yes, this is for real. Deadline confirmed the news yesterday: The 1868 Louisa May Alcott novel (which we last saw on the screen as the 1994 adaptation—a classic!!!) is getting another screen adaptation, this time on the network that brought us Vampire DiariesJane the Virgin, and 90210

BUT THERE'S MORE. The plot describes Marsh sisters Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy as "disparate half-sisters," and they are trying to "survive the dystopic streets of Philadelphia and unravel a conspiracy that stretches far beyond anything they have ever imagined"... AND WAIT FOR IT: "all while trying not to kill each other in the process."

!!!

WHAT.

Is this like Battle Royale meets Little Women? My head is spinning. It's gonna be so... lit. (Ha ha LITtle Women amirite?) Does this mean Beth doesn't die from fever? Is there a Laurie? Do they have supernatural powers? SO MANY QUESTIONS.

Alexis Jolly and Michael Weatherly (of NCIS) are writing the script, but who will play the sisters? Here's my dream cast: I want Zoe Kravitz to play Jo (because she's obviously the most badass), Amandla Stenberg should play Amy, with Saoirse Ronan as Beth (but not like a sad, sickly version), and Rooney Mara as oldest sister Meg. I'm obviously going to watch this show, and it's obviously going to become my favorite show.

P.S. What happened to that Little Women movie remake? Is that still happening?
