If you live in New York City, it might feel like you live in the most expensive city in the world. Not even close—that title actually goes to Singapore, where a bottle of wine costs $25 on average. (Think about that next time you shop for Two Buck Chuck.) In fact, no U.S. city even makes the list of the top 10 least affordable cities in the world, Business Insider points out.

Their list was made consulting the World Cost of Living Index, which compares the price of goods from different cities to see how they stack up against each other. Other cities on this list of super expensive places to live include Paris, where a loaf of bread costs $8.44, and Oslo, where a pack of cigarettes costs $15.44. Data on how much other cities have to deal with surge pricing is not available.
