Promoting Southpaw on Univision’s morning show ¡Despierta América! (translation: Wake Up, America!) Jake Gyllenhaal got down and dirty, in the kitchen that is, during a cooking segment yesterday.
Host Karla Martínez begins the segment by saying that if she had an assistant (that looked) like Gyllenhaal she would cook every day, which she proved when she used Gyllenhaal—and his rippedSouthpaw body—as her personal napkin. With the help of Martínez, a charming Gyllenhaal, politely laughing at the host’s Spanish jokes, like when she jokes that he’s good with his hands, prepares a Mexican dish called “tlacoyos con chicharrón” (a fried dough and pork dish) as he flexes his Spanish skills. He says “Si” and “Mucho.”
