Earlier this month, Tracy Morgangave his first public interview since the fatal car crash which took the life of his friend (and fellow comedian) James "Jimmy Mack" McNair. "I'm happy Walmart stepped up to the plate in a big way and they took full responsibility," Morgan said during the Today Show interview, referencing the resulting legal settlement. "I'm happy they took care of Jimmy Mack's family."
In a separate interview filmed at Morgan's iconic Saturday Night Live stomping grounds, Morgan expressed his desire to return to the stage to honor Mack, his family, and the outpouring of support he's received from fans throughout his recovery process. "I promise you," Morgan told Matt Lauer. "One day, when I'm 100 percent — I'm going to grab that mic and I'm never going to let it go. Never." Fittingly, Morgan will soon join the Hollywood Walk of Fame alongside a slew of other honorees.
On Tuesday, Morgan tweeted some characteristically enlightening thoughts on his Walk of Fame honor — including the revelation that Charlton Heston may or may not be his biological father:
Joining Morgan in this year's Walk of Fame class are Kevin Hart, Bruno Mars, Adam Levine, Steve Carell, Bradley Cooper, Ashley Judd, Michael Keaton, Kurt Russell, Quentin Tarantino, Kathy Bates, David Duchovny, Allison Janney, Rob Lowe, LL Cool J, and Cyndi Lauper.
