Whenever a notable sex scene come along actors become all bashful in interviews and throw around words like "awkward" and "embarrassing." It's hard to believe there's anything wrong with two beautiful, famous people rolling around in bed together, and Mindy Kaling is finally sparing us from the bullshit. In an excerpt from her new book, Why Not Me?, the actress admits shooting sex scenes is actually quite awesome.
She calls out the likes of Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis for lying before writing:
Obviously onscreen sex is not actual penetrative sex, but, as any religious high schooler will tell you, simulating sex can be pretty damn enjoyable as well. ...People already think acting is the world’s easiest and most frivolous job. So we all have this tacit agreement to keep our traps shut about the world’s best job perk.
There it is, the truth. Actors enjoy making the sexy sex scenes as much as we love watching them. Probably more, in fact.
