CBS' first Supergirl trailer has just about everything you'd expect from a romantic comedy: a fancy office job as an assistant, stressful coffee carrying, a blind date, a makeover that involves becoming hot by taking off glasses, and a fiery semi truck explosion.

The network dropped an unusually long first look at the series starring Melissa Benoist as Superman's cousin Kara Zor-El, a woman who has been quietly living with the ability to lift an airplane for 20-something years until she finally has a good reason to use her powers.

Calista Flockhart plays the rich and demanding diva boss, while Mehcad Brooks plays former Daily Planet photographer Jimmy Olsen, who has just been hired to work for said diva as the art director at her media company.

The show is set to premiere this fall as part of the 2015-2016 TV season.
